Privacy
What this site stores, what it does not, and how to reach us. This page is written in English.
Who runs this
Lightning-Fun is the site at lightning-fun.com and the games hosted here (including LightningBlocks and PenguinShooter).
Contact is only through /contact and @lightning_fun. We do not publish a personal name or a personal email address.
Accounts
An account is optional. If you create one, we store a username, a password hash (not the password itself), game progress tied to that account, and a wallet on our LNBits server so you can pay ingame faster.
We do not use email to log in. There is no password reset. If you lose the username or password, we cannot recover the account.
Cookies
When you log in, the site sets a session_id cookie so the browser stays signed in.
That cookie is needed for the account to work. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies.
Playing without an account
You can play as a guest. Guest progress is not saved to an account. If you close the browser window, guest sats and guest progress can be lost.
Feedback
The form on /contact stores the message as you wrote it, including any email or handle you put in the text. We use that to read feedback. We do not run a mailing list and we do not collect emails for one.
Logs and limits
Some requests are logged with IP address and browser user-agent so we can operate the site and limit abuse (for example login attempts and faucet zaps).
Payments
We do not take cards. If you pay or withdraw with Lightning, you may enter an invoice or a Lightning address. Account wallets are custodial: we hold the keys. How you pay explains ingame balance, LNBits, and your own wallet.
Other services the pages load
When you open this site, your browser may also request:
- fonts from Google Fonts
- Bootstrap CSS and JS from a CDN (jsDelivr)
- our LNBits server, if you use an account wallet
If you follow the X link, you leave this site and X’s own rules apply.
How long we keep it
Account data stays while the account exists. Feedback stays so we can read it. Session cookies expire when you log out or the session ends. Logs are kept as long as we need them to run the site.
Changes
We may update this page when the site changes. The date below is when it was last edited.
